Yoga and Extra Strength Tylenol. . . seriously?!
I called my nurse today about the pain in my lower back and beyond, and she confirmed what I already Googled... a pinched Sciatic Nerve. The answer? Extra Strength Tylenol and maybe a little Yoga to try to get the baby to move around a little. So... be honest and raise your hand if the thought of me doing yoga just made you chuckle. Me too.

Extra strength Tylenol. Pshaw. That stuff doesn't live up to it's name. More like Extra Wimpy Placebo...
Have you tried kneeling down on all fours and doing back arches/pelvic tilts? That sometimes helped my low back/hip issues. Also you can get on all fours and lean on your elbows. These in combination with heat (like the shower) saved my sanity.
Hope that baby moves and gives you some relief.
ok - yes, a chuckle, but a small one. I was reading your "notes from the couch" and remembered a comment you left on one of my posts. You said you wanted to have another baby someday, but not until you could CLEAN THE WHOLE HOUSE AT THE SAME TIME!! Well girl, looks like you did it just in time! Hope that Tylenol works. I had the same thing with all 3 of mine. It always was worse when I did stuff like CLEAN THE WHOLE HOUSE AT ONE TIME!! I did Jenny's all 4's trick many a night! Gotta love that baby stuff!
Jenny-- thanks for the suggestions. I'm gonna try that before heading off the the library and checking out my first yoga series =)
Carissa-- I soooo remember thinking that about the house. Too bad that nesting urge comes when I'm too preggo to handle it all at once =)
:) No Comment!!! I did back stretches every night in the 2nd half of my preg.'s. Ugh. I feel for ya. Hope the yoga works...BREATHE...BREATHE..."Come on Alex, you can do it!!!"
It was great catching up with your blog. I didn't smile when I read about the yoga suggestion until you asked if that made us readers chuckle. I guess not much a pregnant person tries to do for relief of whatever is uncomfortable is too crazy to consider.
I hear ya' on the strong willed child. Sigh... it has definitely taught me a lot about myself too. We have that book The Strong Willed Child, and it was one of the few that came to Cameroon with us. :-) I need to pick it up and read it completely through and sooner than later.
