We don't go all out and participate in Halloween, nor do we hunker down in the darkest corner of the house in order to avoid all the little fairies and superheros prowling the neighborhood. We do pass out candy and walk around with the kids to visit with neighbors and admire wobbling little Pooh Bears and Pumpkins. We didn't prepare for the evening since it fell on a Wednesday night. AJ woke up with a terrible fever this morning, so the kiddos and I were home. Good thing I had some left-over potty training treats stashed away. My neighbor brought some homemade goodies... "eyeballs". They were peanut butter balls covered in white chocolate with a chocolate dot in the top. They were so yummy. After AJ went to sleep, Olivia and I sat on the porch for a little while, and then we walked across the street to say hi to our neighbors. They were all dressed up and stationed on their front porch passing out candy. It was starting to get dark, so we went back to the house and turned out all the lights in order to avoid the older and probably not dressed like Pooh Bear crowd. All that to say-- YEAH! HALLOWEEN IS OVER.... LET THANKSGIVING AND CHRISTMAS SEASONS BEGIN!
P.S. Does anyone else take advantage of the after Halloween sales to stock up on dress-up clothes?... for the kids that is :)

I am going to try and find Olivia some of the princess constumes on clearance!

I hope little AJ is feeling better. He just misses his grandma and Danielle! We had such a fun time with the kids.

I love you all and can't wait to see you again. Give the kiddos hugs and kisses from grandma!

Thanks mom! Olivia is definately due for some new "dwesses". AJ woke up this morning looking and feeling normal. They do miss you guys... I don't know if AJ misses getting hairbows put in his hair though ;)

Having a boy we don't necessarilly take advantage of the clearance stuff, but my sister-in-law has two girls and she went and got the cutest little costumes for dirt cheap. She got a little poodle, a giraffe, and a tiger costume and they look so cute in them and they love to put them on too! I may go and see what they have by way of super hero things because I think that would be fun for our little guy! So glad AJ is feeling better!
And, yes, SOOOOOOO glad Halloween is over and we can focus on Thanksgiving and Christmas!!!!

Oh Janelle! I was just thinking of that today... what dress-up clothes to get for a boy, and I found a great Firefighter outfit for $6.00. The pickings are slim, but I also saw a cowboy outfit. Does anyone else have an idea for boy dress-up clothes?

Leah, Don't forget about cowboys and Indians. Michael's fav's were always Indians. Paul preferred cowboys.
