Calling All Opinions!

I would like to reach out to my little blogging community and ask for some advice regarding some needed baby gear.

1.) Would you recommend a tandem stroller or a side by side stroller for little ones that will be 18 mo apart.

2.) Did any of you use a soft carrier? What brand/kind? Did you like it? Is it worth the $$?

If you are browsing my blog, and you could possibly contribute a little say-so, please do!

10 weeks and counting :)

Hi there -- Saw you post on Liesl's blog!

I recommend tandem -- much easier, less bulky, etc.

As for soft carriers, I would steer you to the baby hawk mei tei, & I'm sure you can find one being resold on a babywearing community online. http://www.babyhawk.com

Hope that helps!!

Hey Leah....this is Monica (Lemay) "LaughingRain" Kish. I think you worked in Pioneer Village with me one summer. Right?? Maybe I am off :)

I would absolutely recommend the tandem. It is so worth the money and it is easier to manuever around.

I love the baby carriers. We have a front one from Target. I believe it is Infantimo. I think it is just as good and a fraction of the cost of the baby bjorn.

Monica! How could I forget you? You were like the best PV counselor on the books. I always wanted to be your "Lamper". I'm suprised you remembered me :) Where is your blog? Do you have one? Thanks for the input!

Hi Leah - Not sure I have any advice yet on the whole stroller/carrier thing =). I just wanted to say "hi". Only 10 more weeks! It doesn't seem too long ago when I was thinking 9 more weeks and now it's down to 10 days! Times seems to fly!I hope all is going well for you (the pics of Olivia are sooo cute!)

I thought you were so sweet and cute. :) What summer were you a Lamper? What years were you at college at NBBC.

Yes, I have a blog as well. It is thekishconnection.blogspot.com :)

On the double strollers, I recommend the front/back stroller because it's easier to manuever in malls/stores. However, if you do a lot of walking/hiking the side by side jogging stroller is much easier to push.

My favorite carrier is the mayawrap (www.mayawrap.com) sling. You can use it the day you bring the baby home all the way up to toddler's. In fact, I still use it occassionally on Kara (two-and a half) as a restraint to keep her from running off. It's the most versatile of all of the slings I've seen, and it's pretty comfortable. It's also great for nursing (if you have to nurse in public) because you can cover up completely with it. Hope this helps. By the way, when is your due date? It sounds like we are due about the same time.

Thanks everyone for the input! I think that tandem gets the vote, and I'm going to check out those different soft carriers.
